POLYTROPE CMAssistant: EXTRA!

EXTRA!?

If you're visiting this page, you're probably wondering what happened to EXTRA! Two things have happened to it.

First, we rewrote it from scratch, not once, but twice. And we changed its name. EXTRA! has been superseded by CMAssistant.

Between summer 2001 and summer 2002, we worked closely with a diverse number of our old and new publications to write a completely new application. We could tell you what a big improvement that was, except that we've gone and done it again. CMAssistant has now been rewritten entirely in FileMaker 8. Is it better than EXTRA! You bet it is. We gave the program more diverse options for master and route sheet. Support for redeliveries and routes has changed completely: it's easier now to create and organize redeliveries, and we now support restocking at the driver's discretion. The auto-adjust feature is now called "smart adjust" and it's a lot smarter than it used to be. The application provides much more revealing statistics about your circulation, allowing you to pinpoint in seconds which locations have the highest waste and why. Support for the distribution of multiple publications is now standard. We could go on and on.

If you're still using EXTRA! and you're looking for tech support here, simply follow the menus to tech support for CMAssistant and substitute "EXTRA!" whenever you see "CMAssistant" mentioned. Anything said here about installing CMAssistant, dealing with damaged files, downloading or uploading files, etc., applies equally to EXTRA! Of course, references to specific features of CMAssistant may (indeed probably do) not apply to EXTRA!
